Light Up The Village  in Hooksett

The holiday spirit kicks off in Hooksett on Saturday, Dec. 7, with events starting as early as 9 a.m. and going throughout the day. The main festivities center around a series of activities in Hooksett Village, including:

• Craft Fair at the Congregational Church of Hooksett, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Stop by for unique holiday crafts, gifts, and seasonal decorations at the Congregational Church’s craft fair, open all day in the church’s fellowship hall.

• Winter Wonderland Craft Fair at the American Legion until 3 p.m.

• Another great opportunity for holiday shopping with local vendors and artisans, the Legion will also host a cake walk, photos with Santa, and kids’ coloring activities from 5-7 p.m.

• Children’s Story Time at Arah Prescott Library, 4-7 p.m.

• The historic Arah Prescott Library will be the cozy setting for children’s holiday story time, led by “elves” Barbara and Bob Thinnes, along with Marissa Delhay, who will delight kids with festive tales.

• At 4 p.m., the opening ceremony will be held at the Hooksett Town Hall gymnasium at 35 Main St., setting the stage for the evening events. Following the ceremony, attendees are invited to join the procession down Main Street to the town tree.

• The highlight of the night comes at 6 p.m., with the lighting of the town tree across from Robie’s Country Store. Carolers and musicians from Cawley Middle School will add holiday cheer with live performances to ring in the lighting ceremony.
