Todd Lizotte is a husband, father, engineer, and entrepreneur who hasproudly called Hooksett home for more than 22 years. His long-standingcommitment to the community, combined with decades of professionalexperience in engineering and business leadership, shapes his approach as acandidate for the Hooksett School Board. At the center of his campaign is abalanced objective: deliver strong educational outcomes while exercisingdisciplined fiscal stewardship that respects taxpayers.Lizotte’s service to Hooksett extends well beyond his professional career.

Over the years, he has served the community in numerous volunteer andelected roles, gaining firsthand experience in local governance and publicservice. He has served on the Budget Committee, supported families throughthe PTA, coached youth baseball and soccer, and contributed to protectinglocal natural resources through the Conservation Commission. He has alsoserved on the Town Council, previously served on the School Board alongside Joanne McHugh — where he learned the importance of collaboration with the SAU to balance educational priorities and fiscal responsibility -— andcurrently serves as the Town Moderator. These experiences have shaped ateam-based perspective focused on students, families, taxpayers, and thebroader community.

As an engineer and business owner, Lizotte has built his career ondata-driven decision-making, long-term planning, and financialaccountability. In competitive industries, success depends on forecasting costs, analyzing trends, and making strategic investments that producemeasurable results. He believes school governance should follow the sameprinciples. A school budget is not simply a yearly spending plan; it is astrategic roadmap aligning resources with clearly defined educational goals.

Lizotte supports proactive budgeting rather than reactive spending. Headvocates for multi-year financial forecasting to anticipate enrollmentshifts, contractual obligations, facility needs, and technology investmentsbefore they become urgent cost drivers. Early planning helps prevent suddentax increases or emergency expenditures that strain families and seniorsliving on fixed incomes.

Transparency is another cornerstone of his approach. Lizotte believestaxpayers deserve clear explanations of how funds are allocated and howspending decisions support measurable outcomes. Open communicationstrengthens public trust and helps residents understand how investmentscontribute to student achievement and long-term district stability.

As a father, Lizotte understands that families expect safe schools, strongacademics, and preparation for college, skilled trades, or the workforce. Asking for your Vote, March 10th , 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Cawley Middle School.
